This work is based on the manga 'YAIBA' by Gosho Aoyama, famed for delivering numerous hit works to the world such as 'Detective Conan,' 'Magic Kaito,' and 'Third Baseman No. 4.' It was serialized in the Shogakukan Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1988 issue 39 to 1993 issue 50. The story features the samurai wild child Yaiba Kurogane (CV. Minami Takayama) striving for greater strength and progressing with straightforward samurai spirit in this action-packed drama, boasting a total of 17 million copies in circulation across 24 volumes. The TV anime 'YAIBA Samurai Legend,' based on this, has been airing nationwide on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television Network every Saturday at 5:30 PM since April 5.
