Anya Sees Right Through It! The Adorably Tsundere Becky in "SPY×FAMILY"

Children at that age who can't be honest about their happiness are just so adorable! In the anime "SPY×FAMILY," there's a scene where Anya Forger (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki) gives her best friend Becky Blackbell (voiced by Emiri Katō) a keychain to commemorate their first shopping trip together. Many fans were charmed by Becky's tsundere behavior when she couldn't honestly express her joy and said "I'll accept it" while hiding her true feelings.

The mission of Loid Forger (voiced by Takuya Eguchi), a skilled spy from Westalis, is to "infiltrate the social gathering at Eden College, the prestigious school attended by the target's son, to make contact with Donovan Desmond, the chairman of the National Unity Party of Ostania." For this purpose, Anya plays the role of his daughter and attends Eden College.

Anya is a classmate of Damian, Desmond's second son. Meanwhile, their classmate Becky misunderstood that Anya had feelings for Damian. "If you dress up and look cute, that guy will be wrapped around your finger!" declared Becky enthusiastically, as Anya enjoyed her first shopping trip with a friend at a department store.

Becky is the daughter of the CEO of Blackbell, a major military company, making her quite the young lady even among the children from wealthy families at Eden College. On this day, she had reserved an entire luxury department store. Overwhelmed by the numerous luxury items and being made to try on countless outfits like in a fashion show, Anya showed signs of fatigue, saying "Anya almost died shopping" and "Don't know what I want, fashion is difficult." Although Becky looked concerned when Anya ended up not choosing anything, her smile returned when Anya conveyed her joy by excitedly saying, "First-ever shopping with a friend in Anya history!" The two then decided to search for something Anya wanted.

Anya took a liking to a keychain of the department store's mascot that she found at a stuffed animal shop and decided to buy it. When Becky said, "Eh? A keychain? Anya, you're such a kid," Anya replied, "It's a memento of coming shopping with Becky, proof that we survived death together."

However, Becky hesitated to make her purchase, remembering her father's words: "You must only wear first-class items." During this time, Anya also bought a keychain for Becky and offered it to her as a present.

Seeing Becky hesitate to accept it, her accompanying butler Martha (voiced by Shoko Tsuda) came to the rescue, saying, "Rejecting a friend's kindness would be a disgrace to the Blackbell name." With Martha's nice assist, Becky extended her hand to the gift while hiding her joy and said, "W-Well, I guess I can't help it. It's embarrassing, but I'll accept it! ...Thank you." Watching this, Anya smirked, thinking, "Becky is tsundere too."
