"Chiikawa" is a popular manga by illustrator Nagano, first serialized on X (formerly Twitter) starting in 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the "Japan Character Awards 2022" and again at the "Japan Character Awards 2024" announced in July 2024. The contrast between the cute, small characters and the harsh world they inhabit has garnered widespread popularity among both adults and children, with the account surpassing 3.93 million followers to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" airs on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" every Tuesday and Friday around 7:40 AM. Starting in April 2025, new episodes will take a three-month hiatus, and episodes that previously received significant attention will be rebroadcast.
