The original manga 'YAIBA', serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1988 Issue 39 to 1993 Issue 50, was created by Gosho Aoyama, who also brought hit works like 'Detective Conan', 'Magic Kaito', and 'Fourth Third-Baseman' to the world. It is an action spectacle where the samurai wild child Yaiba Kurogane (CV: Minami Takayama) strives straight forward with Samurai spirit for greater strength, boasting a cumulative circulation of 17 million copies over 24 volumes. This is the base for the TV anime 'YAIBA Samurai Legend', which has been airing nationwide on the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks each Saturday at 5:30 PM starting April 5th.
