"Chiikawa," a popular manga series launched in 2020 by illustrator Nagano, is posted on X (formerly Twitter). It won the "Japan Character Awards 2022" and the Grand Prix at the "Japan Character Awards 2024" announced in July 2024. The charming small characters paired with a harsh world have gained wide popularity among both adults and children, reaching 3.93 million followers to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" is broadcast as part of the Fuji TV program "Mezamashi TV" at around 7:40 am every Tuesday and Friday. Starting April 2025, it will pause new episodes for about three months to revive episodes that previously elicited strong reactions.
