The anime "The Apothecary Diaries," currently streaming in full, is based on the light novel of the same name by Natsu Hyūga. It has been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines, and the series has surpassed 40 million copies in total circulation. The TV anime broadcast consecutively for two seasons starting in October 2023, featuring a detective drama centered around Maomao who works as a "poison tester" in the imperial court, and the comical interactions between Maomao and Jinshi, which became popular and widely talked about.
