"Chiikawa" is a popular manga posted by illustrator Nagano on X (formerly Twitter), which began serialization in 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the "Japan Character Award 2022" and again in the "Japan Character Award 2024" announced in July 2024. The gap between the cute small characters and the severe worldview has gained popularity among a wide range of people, from adults to children, with followers exceeding 3.95 million.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" is currently airing on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" every Tuesday and Friday around 7:40 am. Starting April 2025, new episodes will take a break for about three months, during which time popular past episodes will be broadcast again. The first-ever "Chiikawa" smartphone app, "Chiikawa Pocket," was released on March 27th, available in Japan and 43 countries and regions, including Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States. The app has reached over 3 million downloads.
