Anime 'APOCALYPSEHOTEL' Special Stage Report at "Machi★Asobi vol.28" Released

A special report on the anime "APOCALYPSEHOTEL" was released, covering the "Machi★Asobi vol.28" event held on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11 in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture.

Set on Earth long after humanity has gone extinct, the series follows the hotelier robot Yachiyo (voiced by Saho Shirasu) and employee robots in the hotel 'Ginga-lo' in Tokyo's Ginza as they await their owner and humanity’s return. A small miracle befalls them as they linger in the empty hotel.

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, a special stage event titled 'APOCALYPSEHOTEL Special Stage - Hotel Ginga-lo Tokushima Annex' was held. It featured Saho Shirasu, the voice of the main character Yachiyo, Sumire Morohoshi as Ponko, an alien visitor to the hotel, and producer Manami Kabashima from CyberAgent. They held a live audio commentary and a talk show, discussing role creation and behind-the-scenes stories of recording sessions.

Saho Shirasu and Sumire Morohoshi appeared with smiles amidst roaring cheers and applause from fans who filled the venue. When asked about their impressions of the work, Shirasu mentioned that the series has many aspects that are hard to grasp. Morohoshi also mentioned that there are many mysterious elements in the series. Stories were shared about the actors' surprising reactions to the unpredictably unfolding storylines during recordings.

They then performed a live audio commentary for episode 4, "Cultures of Food and Courtesy," where both Yachiyo and Ponko shine. With the producer present, not only were recording anecdotes shared, but also behind-the-scenes stories about the opening animation and the main production.

Additionally, it was revealed that Yachiyo's new "Pretty Voice" feature, added to the story, was not processed, but actually performed by Shirasu. An anecdote during recording where she was directed to make it "a little more pretty" also brought laughter and liveliness to the venue.
