Namikawa & Yashiro Deliver Series of Unusual Answers! Math Highlights in a Yo Asobi Knowledge Test

Namikawa Enters Full-on Comedy Mode! A Series of Unusual Answers in the "Spring Four-Subject Knowledge Test"

This episode started with a segment titled "Challenge the Spring Four-Subject Knowledge Test!" The test focused on content taught in fourth grade that adults surprisingly tend to forget, titled "Of course you should know it!? Nighttime Knowledge Test." Taku Yashiro, who has reportedly studied to obtain an elementary school teaching license, and Daisuke Namikawa, who has past experience tutoring, both confidently claimed, "We will definitely get all the answers right," and took the test before recording.

The first subject was Japanese. The challenge was to name the author of "Gongitsune." Namely, while Namikawa answered "Parent fox" and Yashiro answered "Human," both shared a similar approach, making them burst into laughter when they compared answers.

Next was math, where Yashiro, coming from a science-oriented family, one so much that he boasted, "My sister is a super math woman," took on the challenge. In a fraction calculation problem, Yashiro demonstrated a brilliant moment of insight, leading Namikawa to comment in surprise, "You've surpassed Einstein!"

For science, a question required identifying the name of an item shown in a picture of a "Stevenson screen." Namikawa responded with "Bee meeting," while Yashiro answered "Birdhouse," leading to an unexpected comedy battle of unusual answers, causing roaring laughter in the studio.

In the social studies section, they were asked, "What is the second-largest prefecture in Japan by area?" Yashiro, hailing from Iwate Prefecture, had an unexpected incorrect answer, causing him to lament, "I haven't felt this frustration in a long time," with a sense of defeat. Throughout the series of unusual answers, Namikawa's free-spirited comedy was on full display, resulting in constant laughter till the end.
