[Synopsis]
In the spring of the 7th year of Kaei (1854), whispers circulate that a hideous demoness appears under the cherry blossoms in the Yoshiwara red-light district, murdering men. Tasked by Yotaka, Jinya encounters, as rumored, a demon under the cherry tree, clothed in rags with a horribly disfigured face, crying out in pain. Jinya slowly drew his blade and defeated the demoness. According to Yotaka, she was a former courtesan of Yoshiwara, cast away after being both physically and mentally broken.
