"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the latest installment in the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, which has been ongoing since 1979. It follows the story of high school girl Amate Yuzuriha (CV: Tomoyo Kurosawa) living peacefully in a space colony, who gets drawn into the illegal mobile suit duel competition "Clan Battle" after meeting the girl Nyaan (CV: Yui Ishikawa). Jointly produced by Studio Khara and Sunrise, known for works like the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series, the theatrical version of the show premiered this January before the TV series, and it became a major hit with a box office revenue exceeding 3.34 billion yen.
