Tomokazu Seki, "I was an attention seeker" in childhood; Reiji Kawashima blushes with surprise phone call with his mother, "Did she know!?"

On May 9th (Friday) at 10 PM, 'Say You To Yo Asobi Friday [Tomokazu Seki×Reiji Kawashima] #4' was broadcasted on ABEMA's "Anime LIVE Channel."

With Mother's Day approaching, the show featured a special segment titled "Mother's Day is the day after tomorrow! Let's express gratitude to our mothers!" Childhood photos of both were revealed, and they shared stories and memories involving their mothers. A surprise live phone call with Kawashima's mother was also conducted.

The childhood photos of the two were revealed immediately. From Tomokazu, who was into heroes even back then, to figures of Reiji astride his parents' bike in a cool pose, viewers excitedly responded with comments like "Little Seki is too cute!" "Reiji's worried eyebrows are adorable!" "They definitely resemble them!"

Following this, both shared their memories. Tomokazu, who often shares close stories about his mother on the show, commented, "She was incredibly kind" and stated, "I was scolded fiercely only about once!" When asked about his childhood, he revealed that he was "an attention seeker" and shared a charming story of how he volunteered for a popular prince role and as the cymbal player, which only one person could do, for a play. He continued, "I won the rock-paper-scissors match, and ended up with both the prince role and cymbal. Then a friend came to my house with a kindergarten teacher saying, 'Please change one of them!' So I gave up the cymbal," causing laughter as he recounted the negotiation.

Additionally, Reiji shared a recent story of guiding his mother when she visited Tokyo during Golden Week. Reiji expressed his eagerness to take her to as many new places she hadn't visited as possible and talked about making her walk 60,000 steps in four days, which ended up tiring her out. On work days, he guided his mother between work locations and shared how he introduced Tokyo-exclusive drinks to keep her entertained while waiting, showcasing his thoughtful planning. Tomokazu praised him with compliments like "Nice!" and "You’re really considerate towards your mother!"
