The popular anime "Lycoris Recoil," which aired in the summer of 2022, has returned as a set of six original short movies. In the final episode, which began streaming on April 16 as part of "Lycoris Recoil Friends are thieves of time.," the members of Café LycoReco are shown brimming with excitement over their upcoming trip to Hawaii. The scene featuring Mika donning the most flamboyant outfit among them leaves a strong impression. Furthermore, the episode culminates with the ending theme "Hana no Tou" from the TV series, and this too has generated much buzz.
An incident occurs following the release of the film "TOKYO Lycoris Crisis," where Takina Inoue (voiced by Shion Wakayama) finds her uniform drawing public interest. Chisato Nishikigi (voiced by Chika Anzai), concerned about the risk of their identities being exposed, proposes new uniform designs. However, all her suggestions are overly fancy and are promptly rejected by Fuki Harukawa (voiced by Maki Kawase). As usual, the atmosphere grows tense, but then, someone arrives who completely changes the mood.
Appearing cheerfully with an "Aloha!" is Mizuki Nakahara (voiced by Ami Koshimizu), already in full tropical spirit. Upon learning that the group is flying out to Hawaii the next morning, Fuki, along with Erika Janome (voiced by Yuka Yagami), prepares to leave. At that moment, the LycoReco members wave her off, teasing, "We’ll leave Japan’s safety to you!" Irritated, Fuki snaps, "Shut up! The only decent person here is the teacher," firing off a parting shot as she tries to walk away, but...
Standing before Fuki is the last person she expected—Mika (voiced by Kōsuke Sakaki). Sporting a plush sea turtle on his arm and a hibiscus in his hair, Mika is the most excited of them all. Usually calm and sensible, his unexpected tropical look leaves Fuki speechless in shock at how much her trusted teacher has changed.
Additionally, the episode offers a surprise with a full version of Sayuri's "Hana no Tou" playing—not just the intro, as in previous "Lycoris Recoil Friends are thieves of time." episodes—which moved viewers deeply.
