—What points did you focus on for this particular cosplay?

Kurose: I made sure to avoid expressions and poses that looked too cute. I also put particular effort into my eye makeup to create a more menacing look.

—Could you tell us what first got you into "Kakegurui" and who your favorite characters are?

Kurose: At first, I was drawn in by Yumeko's visuals and started reading the series, but when Midari-chan appeared, she completely stole the show for me. Midari-chan is definitely my favorite.

—Do you have any announcements about your activities or cosplays you'd like to try in the future?

Kurose: Going forward, I'd like to cosplay characters from my main genres, such as "NIKKE" and "Umamusume." I also want to challenge myself with cute-type characters, which I've been less comfortable with until now.

—Thank you very much!

Kurose approached this cosplay with “not becoming too cute” in mind. I felt that she skillfully expressed the eccentricity that makes Midari one of the most unique characters in the series.
