New PV and KV for "Rascal Does Not Dream" TV Anime Season 2 Unveiled! New Character Cast Reina Ueda: "I Can Truly Feel How Wonderful It's Becoming"

A special program for the upcoming anime in the "Rascal Does Not Dream" series, titled "Rascal Does Not Dream: College Arc Special Program," was broadcast live on ABEMA on May 18.

The program featured live appearances from Kaito Ishikawa (voice of Sakuta Azusagawa), Asami Seto (voice of Mai Sakurajima), Sora Amamiya (voice of Uzuki Hirokawa), and Reina Ueda, who joins the series as the new character "Mini-Skirt Santa." They reflected on the series, diving into the highlights of Season 2 featuring Sakuta and friends as college students. Additionally, major new information such as the second PV, KV, and broadcasting/streaming details was unveiled, exciting fans.

Matching the title of the new TV anime, "Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus," set to air from July, the program kicked off from a studio decorated for Christmas with an out-of-season "Merry Christmas!" greeting. First, they looked back on the "Rascal Does Not Dream" series to prepare for the upcoming season.

The "Rascal Does Not Dream" series is a poignant and refreshing adolescent fantasy in which “adolescent syndrome”—a phenomenon where puberty-related emotions manifest in mysterious ways—affects girls around the protagonist Sakuta. The first TV anime, "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai," aired in 2018, followed by three theatrical films released in 2019 and 2023.

Since it’s the first TV anime in seven years, Seto reminisced about the time that had passed, saying, "So much has happened. This work has occupied half my voice acting career." When asked about joining the long-running series for the first time, Reina Ueda, who plays the new character "Mini-Skirt Santa," shared, "I was nervous, but the charm of this work has remained even after seven years. I genuinely feel Season 2 is also turning out wonderful, so I can confidently present it to everyone," expressing her confidence in the new season.
