Robot Yachiyo’s Rebellious Phase!? Out-of-Control Antics in a Bosozoku Uniform—“That’s Some Seriously Old-School Rebellion” Episode 8 of "APOCALYPSEHOTEL"

Episode 8 of the anime "APOCALYPSEHOTEL" began airing sequentially starting May 27. Yachiyo (voiced by Saho Shirasu), the earnest hotelier robot, suddenly entered a rebellious phase, sporting a thoroughly delinquent girl fashion that made viewers laugh, with comments like “That’s some seriously Showa-style rebellion.”

In Episode 8, titled “Punishment Is a Fist! Making Up Is a Palm!”, Yachiyo, who had gone missing in space, returns to Earth. However, due to a malfunction in her precision instruments, she has to change some of her body parts.

Struggling to do her job properly in an unfamiliar body, Yachiyo begins to feel insecure about her purpose as a hotelier robot. Then, one day, she suddenly goes on a rampage. She transforms into a version of herself with heavy makeup and a bosozoku-style uniform, launches missiles, skips work without leave—essentially doing whatever she pleases and sulking, saying, “There’s nothing I can do anyway.”

Viewers burst out laughing at the earnest Yachiyo’s drastic change, saying things like “That’s some seriously old-school rebellion,” “I never expected Yachiyo to have a rebellious phase, it was hilarious,” and “Watching Yachiyo go wild had me cracking up.”
