Accompanied by an elegant piano melody, Gojō floats serenely in the air amid sparkling lights. After an image of red and blue droplets blending together, the surroundings are enveloped in a purple glow and silence—. The incredibly beautiful direction, hard to believe it’s during a fierce battle, drew enthusiastic reactions online such as “It’s so divine,” “Gave me real chills,” “The music, art, and animation were all perfect...,” and “Seriously, is this a movie?... It was amazing the entire time.”

“Jujutsu Kaisen,” which is currently available for binge streaming, is based on the massively successful manga by Gege Akutami, with over 100 million copies in circulation including digital editions. The story begins when Yūji Itadori (voiced by Junya Enoki), who shares his body with Sukuna, the King of Curses, transfers to the Tokyo Jujutsu High, an institution specializing in combating curses. The sequel arc “Culling Game,” following the TV anime’s second season broadcast in 2023, is currently in production. Furthermore, the “JUJUTSU KAISEN: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death – The Movie” is set for theatrical release on May 30, 2025, and the stage play “Jujutsu Kaisen – Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” will begin in August the same year. In addition, the mobile game “Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade” is holding special events to celebrate its 1.5-year anniversary.
