Legendary Assassin “Souryu” Appears... Episode 9 Synopsis and Preview Cuts for Anime “LAZARUS” Released

The synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 9 of the anime “LAZARUS” have been released.

This original anime is created and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, known for “Cowboy Bebop.” The story revolves around a painkiller called “Hapuna,” which spread across the world as a “miracle drug” but actually causes death three years after consumption. The plot follows a team of five agents gathered from around the world who pursue the drug’s developer, Skinner, and his conspiracy in order to save humanity.

The character design is handled by Akemi Hayashi of “BANANA FISH,” with action supervision by Chad Stahelski from “John Wick.” Animation production is by MAPPA, known for “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Chainsaw Man,” and SOLA ENTERTAINMENT, producers of “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim,” plan and produce the project. Top creators from Japan and abroad have come together for this work, garnering attention for both its dynamic action and tightly woven drama.
