[Synopsis]
It is May of the second year of the Ansei era (1855). On his way home after drinking sake with Jinya, Naotsugu seeks shelter from the rain under the eaves of a building. While muttering about his misfortune, a woman in a kimono with a tenugui cloth draped over her head steps in next to him. Mesmerized by the captivating beauty of the woman who introduces herself as "Yotaka," Naotsugu blushes deeply. At that moment, a man appears in the line of their sight. To Naotsugu, the man looks exactly like his older brother, Sadanaga, but Yotaka refers to him as a "man from the past."
