Broadcast Date for Anime "Kaiju No.8 Season 2" Set for July 19 & Key Visual Unveiled! Vice-Captain Hoshina's Side Story to Air on Terrestrial TV

It has been announced that Season 2 of the anime "Kaiju No.8" will begin airing every Saturday at 11:00 PM on TV Tokyo and other networks starting from July 19 (Saturday), and a key visual for the second season has also been revealed. In addition, just like Season 1, the series will be streamed worldwide in real-time on X (formerly Twitter).

"Kaiju No.8" is an adaptation of Naoya Matsumoto’s manga of the same name, currently serialized in Shonen Jump+. The manga has sold over 18 million copies domestically, and the anime is produced by a powerful collaboration between Production I.G and Studio Khara. Season 1 aired in 2024 and gained worldwide popularity.

At the “Defense Force Boot Camp in Yokohama” event held on June 1, both the broadcast date for Season 2 and the new key visual were unveiled. The dynamic visual features Kafka Hibino (Kaiju No. 8), Kikoru Shinomiya, Captain Gen Narumi, and Defense Force Commander Isao Shinomiya, all depicted as members of the First Division.
