In the scene where Nyaan (voiced by Yui Ishikawa), who works as an illegal courier, delivers an item to Shūji Itō (voiced by Shimba Tsuchiya), Nyaan, riding a bicycle, calls out, “Konnichiwa, Oisogi Desuka,” to which Shūji responds, “Betsu ni isoide imasen yo.”

Fans who recognized the original reference responded with surprise: “I didn’t even notice Nyaan’s password was the same as Miharu’s!,” “So Miharu was the origin!,” and “They even picked up on such a small reference!” Some fans drew parallels between Miharu’s and Nyaan’s circumstances, saying, “Both Miharu and Nyaan live in harsh environments... Please don’t let them be blown away…”

The currently streaming anime Mobile Suit Gundam is a robot anime produced by Sunrise that aired from April 1979 to January 1980, directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. It pioneered a new genre called “real robot anime” and profoundly influenced later robot anime. While the original broadcast did not yield high ratings, its popularity surged through reruns and the release of theatrical versions, sparking a “Gunpla” boom. Since then, numerous sequels, spin-offs, and derivative works in the Gundam series have been produced, and the franchise continues to enjoy enduring popularity. The new anime series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX has been airing since April 2025.
