In episode 43, which is the last episode of "Mobile Suit Gundam," during a fierce battle, Zeon Major General Kycilia Zabi tries to escape aboard a warship. Appearing at that moment with a bazooka in hand is Char. When Char fires the bazooka, the shell pierces the window of the warship and strikes Kycilia directly in the head.

Who would have expected a headshot with a bazooka...? Although this is a scene that might seem like it could happen in another work, it is in fact unique, and perhaps the overwhelming impact of the blow emphasizes just how deep Char's resentment toward the Zabi family ran. The shocking depiction of Kycilia's head being blown off also leaves a strong impression.

The anime "Mobile Suit Gundam," currently available for streaming, is a robot anime produced by Sunrise, which aired from April 1979 to January 1980 and was directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. The work pioneered a new genre of "real robot anime," which had a significant influence on later robot anime works. While ratings were disappointing during its original broadcast, the show's popularity soared with reruns and theatrical releases, sparking the "Gunpla" (Gundam plastic model) boom. Many subsequent entries in the Gundam series and various spinoffs were also produced, and the franchise remains highly popular today. From April 2025, a new anime titled "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is currently airing.
