That BGM was an arrangement of "Senyō o Shippū no Yō ni" ("Like a Gale on the Battlefield"). This track is actually an instrumental arrangement of "Here Comes Char" and was originally included on the album "TV Series Mobile Suit Gundam Complete Music Collection," though it never appeared in the main anime itself.
This unused BGM from the original series, "Senyō o Shippū no Yō ni," made an unexpected comeback in the Reiwa era, prompting reactions online such as, "I can’t believe they used a track that was never even in the main 1st series like this...," "A song never used in the show—wild," and "Never imagined they’d actually use it!"
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the latest work in the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, which began in 1979. The story follows high school girl Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa), who lives peacefully in a space colony but is drawn into the illegal mobile suit dueling competition, "Clan Battle," after meeting the mysterious Nyaan (voiced by Yui Ishikawa). Jointly produced by Studio Khara, known for the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series, and Sunrise, this collaboration became a hot topic. The theatrical preview version, released ahead of the TV series in January this year, became a major hit with box office revenue around 3.4 billion yen. It has also been decided that the film will be re-released in 368 theaters nationwide starting June 20.
