The “Reiwa-era Lalah” performed by a fresh new voice actress has sparked conversation online: “Is this really the same voice as Yamada from The Dangers in My Heart...?” “The VA for Lalah in GQ is Hina Youmiya, who played Yamada and Minami Kotobuki!” and “Ms. Youmiya is just everywhere these days.” Her performance has been praised as “wonderfully mysterious acting” and “the best Lalah ever.”

"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the latest installment in the long-running "Mobile Suit Gundam" franchise, which began in 1979. The story follows Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa), a high school girl living peacefully in a space colony, who becomes involved in the illegal mobile suit dueling competition, , after meeting the young girl Nyaan (voiced by Yui Ishikawa). The joint production by Studio Khara, known for works such as the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series, and Sunrise has garnered much attention. The theatrical advance screening, released this January prior to the TV series, was a massive box office hit, grossing approximately 3.4 billion yen. It has also been decided that it will be re-released in 368 theaters nationwide starting June 20.
