Shunichi Toki, Voice Actor for Romanov in "SHIROHIYO," Appears! Hiro Shimono is Impressed by an Anecdote about Daisuke Hirakawa: "Hirakawa-san Is Amazing"

On ABEMA's "Anime LIVE Channel," episode #7 of "Say You To Yo Asobi Tuesday" aired on Tuesday, June 3 at 10:00 PM.

During the broadcast, Shunichi Toki, the voice actor for Romanov in the anime "SHIROHIYO - Reincarnated as a Neglected Noble" (which is being streamed exclusively on ABEMA one cour ahead of terrestrial TV since April), appeared as a guest and thoroughly showcased the appeal of the series.

Miyu Irino, who stated that he "loves" this work, passionately spoke about its charm, saying, "It has a high healing effect, and it just makes you feel warm while watching. But when you're thinking 'oh, it's cute, it's so cute,' something really unpleasant happens along the way."

Hiro Shimono was surprised by Irino's enthusiasm. When Irino asked Toki, "What do you find the most fun about playing Romanov?" Toki responded, "He's not human, and fundamentally he has no interest in people, but he's extremely interested in a creature called Ageha-kun. Also, as a tutor, he is in a position to educate people, so I was very conscious of maintaining a certain distance, meaning not interfering in everything." He also added, "We were able to record together, all at once, with everyone present, without separate recording sessions. The team got along well, and we could even go out to eat together or have tea after the recordings," to which Shimono and Irino expressed their surprise, commenting, "It's happening more often these days, but that's really great."

Toki reflected, "It was a workplace where I could do what I wanted, so I really enjoyed it." When Irino asked about Daisuke Hirakawa, who plays Ageha's father, "Doesn't Hirakawa-san get disliked? He says such terrible things (in his lines) all the time," Toki replied, "He actually says that himself. He goes, 'Am I okay? I wonder if people will hate me.' So when I told him, 'This is a role meant to be disliked,' he responded, 'Right, that's true,' mimicking Hirakawa's voice.

Irino followed up by saying, "Well, I don't think anyone would dislike Hirakawa-san himself." Shimono marveled, "Hirakawa-san is amazing, to be that concerned about something like that."
