Haro is Seriously Shocked! Nyaan’s Astonishing Transformation as the Substitute in “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”

Could it be that Nyaan (voiced by Yui Ishikawa) is the type whose personality changes dramatically when she’s piloting…!? In episode 5 of the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” Nyaan undergoes a startling transformation during battle. Haro (voiced by Rie Kugimiya), the autonomous AI robot, is so scared it’s almost pitiful—but also pretty cute.

In episode 5, Nyaan is suddenly called to pilot the GQuuuuuuX in place of Machu, aka Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa), and challenges the mobile suit duel competition “Clan Battle.” However, due to her inexperience in battle, Nyaan soon finds herself in a desperate predicament.

Inside the cockpit with her, Haro warns, “Can’t win. Run, run, run…” but Nyaan snaps back with “Shut up!” and stomps on Haro. As she furiously shouts, “Don’t underestimate me! Damn it!”—the GQuuuuuuX’s Omega Psycommu system unexpectedly activates. Nyaan awakens, perceiving the “sparkle” that Machu and others have seen in combat, and manages an intense reversal victory through an aggressive fighting style.

However, Haro seems completely terrified of Nyaan now. After the battle ends and they leave the GQuuuuuuX, Haro lets out a trembling “Uu…” and hides behind Machu’s feet.
