The legendary “Snack Chiaki” segment made its return during this month’s Connect live broadcast. Within the show, there was the segment “Chiaki Mama’s Counseling Room: Let’s Solve Matters of the Heart!,” in which Takahashi, dressed as a bar hostess, listened to the troubles of three guests, with Kaneda raising a question about romance.

Kaneda confessed, “I’m so dense that I don’t even know whether someone sees me as a woman, or if I’m even being recognized as a woman in the first place. I’m not sure if I’m even standing at the starting line as a girl.”

In response to Kaneda, Takahashi said, “I think that obliviousness is extremely charming. That’s why you don’t need to worry about standing at the starting line!” She continued, “That sincerity is what’s valuable in your voice acting career now. The reason you shine in playing non-human roles is because of that pure vibe you carry.” Receiving this high praise for her straightforwardness, Kaneda was moved, exclaiming, “I’m so happy…!” and quipped, “So that’s why I can play a soccer ball role…” drawing laughter from the set.

Kaneda also shared a story about a school trip where, when everyone was excited about romantic tales, she was excluded with the comment, “Tomochan, you’re still a child,” and wasn’t considered a subject for romance talk among her female friends either. In response, Takahashi speculated, “Maybe the reason they said that back in school was because you were actually popular and they didn’t want you joining the conversation.” She added, “Didn’t I tell you? The scariest thing is people. That’s the starting line for girls. The world of girls begins with social pecking order.” While Kaneda expressed surprise with, “Is that so!?”, Tokui and Otsubo agreed wholeheartedly, giving big applause.

Takahashi also gave sharp and effective advice to food and health concerns raised by Tokui and Otsubo, solving their worries in an instant. When Tokui commented, “Mama really knows everything, huh,” Takahashi jokingly replied, “The only thing I don’t understand is a man’s heart…” once again getting a strong reaction from the studio.

Men’s Best & Worst,” where the four of them discussed their views on men by ranking the best and worst male fashion or habits, such as favorite outfits on a date, clothes they wouldn’t want their partner to wear, hobbies they could or couldn’t accept, and so on, sharing their respective ideals.

For the topic of “catchphrases,” Tokui revealed a habit she found to be an instant dealbreaker, and Takahashi shared some striking views on romance, with the girls’ talk becoming even livelier.
