The anime “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The story is set in a world after the Demon King has been defeated, following the 1,000-year-old mage Frieren as she embarks on a journey to understand humanity. The original manga has received multiple awards and has garnered enormous support and high praise. As of the publication of volume 14, over 24 million copies have been sold. It has already been announced that the anime’s second season will air starting January 2026.
