The production of the second season of the TV anime "From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman" has been confirmed and it is set to air in 2026.

This series is based on a novel by author Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrator Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. It has expanded into a manga and spin-offs, with a total of over 8 million copies in circulation across the series.

At the end of the final episode of the first season, which aired today, a video announcing the decision to produce the second season was revealed with new cuts. Following the announcement of the second season's production, congratulatory comments were received from Shigeru Sagazaki and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Sagazaki commented, "I never imagined that the humble work I started as just a web novel would turn into something like this."
