To commemorate the release of the latest Volume 13 of “Medalist,” scheduled for Monday, June 23, it has been decided that a collaborative music video featuring “BOW AND ARROW,” the opening theme song for the first season of the TV anime performed by Kenshi Yonezu, will be released.

“Medalist” is a manga that received the top prize in the Comics Category at the 2022 Next Manga Awards and has also won numerous other honors, including the General Category at the 48th Kodansha Manga Awards. The TV anime adaptation has announced the production of its second season, garnering significant attention.

“BOW AND ARROW” is one of the double A-side tracks on Kenshi Yonezu’s 15th single, “Plazma / BOW AND ARROW,” which was released on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. This music video focuses on the deep bond between Inori Yuitsuka, a girl who dedicates everything to figure skating, and her coach, Tsukasa Akeuraji, who experienced setbacks during his time as an athlete. It depicts the days they have spent together and their strong determination as they strive for the gold medal.

The collaboration music video is scheduled to have its premiere on the YouTube channel “KODANSHA Books & Comics” (@KODANSHAcojp) at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, which is the release date of “Medalist” Volume 13. The viewing URL will be announced via the official “Medalist” X account (@medalist_AFT).
