The synopsis and preview images for Episode 1 of the anime “SAND LAND: THE SERIES,” airing on Saturday, June 28, have been released.

“SAND LAND: THE SERIES” is an anime series produced by Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and ANIMA based on Akira Toriyama’s legendary manga “SAND LAND.” The series portrays two arcs—“The Demon Prince Arc” and “The Angelic Hero Arc”—for a total of 13 episodes. The titles of each arc were named by Akira Toriyama himself.

“The Demon Prince Arc,” which encompasses Episodes 1 through 6, is a reconstruction of the “SAND LAND” movie (released in theaters in summer 2023) with previously unreleased footage and new scenes added. Episodes 7 through 13 comprise “The Angelic Hero Arc,” which introduces a new adventure for Beelzebub and his companions set in Forest Land, a storyline conceived by Akira Toriyama.
