The Apothecary Diaries, currently streaming in its entirety, is an anime adaptation of the light novel of the same name by Natsu Hyuuga. The series has also been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines, and its total circulation has exceeded 40 million copies. The TV anime was broadcast for two consecutive cours beginning in October 2023. It gained major attention with its popular depiction of Maomao’s mystery-solving as a poison tester in the inner palace and her comical interactions with Jinshi. The second season of the anime began airing in January 2025.
