Special Program for "Nyaight of the Living Cat" Set for Live Broadcast! Featuring Masaaki Mizunaka, Reina Ueda, and Reiji Kawashima

A special program for the new summer anime "Nyaight of the Living Cat" titled "Nyan-demic Won't Stop! 'Nyaight of the Living Cat' Episode 1 Pre-Broadcast ABEMA Special" will be streamed live and exclusively for free on the ABEMA Anime Channel starting at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2.

This work is based on the manga of the same name, written by Hawkman and illustrated by Mekaloots. Set in a world where a virus that turns humans into cats after they touch a cat causes a global "Nyan-demic," it depicts the struggle between humanity—tempted to pet the kitties—and the cats themselves in a "catful horror" story. The chief director of the anime is Takashi Miike, known as the "master of violence" for works such as "Crows ZERO" and "Lesson of the Evil."

The special program will feature live appearances by the main cast: Masaaki Mizunaka (Kunagi), Reina Ueda (Kaoru), and Reiji Kawashima (Arata). They will provide a thorough explanation of the characters, the story's appeal, and other key points to enjoy the show.

The first episode of the anime proper will begin streaming exclusively and ahead of its terrestrial broadcast via "ABEMA Premium" and "ABEMA Premium with Ads" at 11:00 PM on Sunday, July 6. Free viewings will be available every Tuesday at 9:00 PM starting July 8, and each latest episode will be available for free for one week from 9:30 PM after the broadcast ends.
