[Synopsis]
Gaku Kitada, a high school student aspiring to become a mathematician, tastes defeat at the Mathematics Olympiad and abandons his path. Having lost his passion for math, Gaku meets the young genius chef Kai Asakura after making spaghetti Napolitan as a staff meal during his part-time job at the school cafeteria. Meanwhile, the school chairman, feeling insulted by Gaku’s decision not to participate in the math contest, demands his expulsion and immediate repayment of his scholarship. Cornered, Gaku finds himself facing a crucial “choice” presented to him by Kai, who had been invited as the cook for the chairman’s dinner.
