However, a follow-up shot from the Umihabe immediately strikes the Hyaku Shiki. The high-voltage current causes the mobile suit to lose control and plummet toward the atmosphere. In this crisis, Kamille chases after the Hyaku Shiki, transforms into the Wave Rider mode, and, holding the Hyaku Shiki, safely descends to Earth and heads toward Kilimanjaro.

The Umihabe, which ensnares enemy mobile suits with its wire and incapacitates them along with their cockpits by electricity, goes far beyond the realm of a mere capture weapon. Its brutal ability to directly kill the pilot is less like mobile suit combat and more akin to execution. Although both the Zeta Gundam and the Hyaku Shiki escaped destruction, its bizarre and terrifying nature left an indelible mark on viewers' minds.

Incidentally, the Hambrabi also appeared in episode 7 of the currently airing anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX." Although the Umihabe was not used on this occasion, its presence was clearly confirmed.

"Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" is a robot anime produced by Sunrise that aired from March 1985 to February 1986. It is a sequel set seven years after the One Year War depicted in "Mobile Suit Gundam." The show also sparked the "Gunpla" (Gundam plastic model) boom. Numerous spin-offs and related works have been produced, and the series remains immensely popular to this day.
