The line, "Unless we return Earth to her cradle of nature and humanity thrives independently in space, Earth will cease to be a planet of water!"—reflects a perspective different from the ideology of Zeon; it is the notion that humanity must move to space in order to protect Earth.

After the speech, the remark he makes while sharing drinks with Amuro Ray (voiced by Tōru Furuya) aboard the Audhumla is also memorable: "With this, I have lost my freedom." By revealing his true face and name and preaching his cause, Char realizes the price he must pay—there is no longer any place left to run. Many fans were deeply moved by his words.

Incidentally, this "Dakar Speech" is omitted from the three-part movie adaptation and thus exists as a valuable scene that can only be seen in the TV anime version. This speech, which encapsulates Char's ideals and determination, is something you should witness for yourself.

"Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" is a mecha anime produced by Sunrise, broadcast from March 1985 to February 1986, serving as a sequel set seven years after the One Year War of "Mobile Suit Gundam." The show also sparked the "Gunpla" (Gundam plastic model) boom. Numerous other series and spinoffs have been created based on the Gundam franchise, all of which continue to enjoy enduring popularity.
