"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Season 2 Teaser PV Released featuring the first unveiled episode footage! Production staff announced, directed by Tomoya Kitagawa

The production staff for the second season has also been announced. Tomoya Kitagawa, who served as chief director among other roles in the first season, will be the director for the second season. The assistant director is Daiki Harashina, with Keiichiro Saito, who directed the first season, supporting as supervisory director. The series composition and script will continue to be handled by Tomohiro Suzuki. Character design will be managed by Takasemaru, Keisuke Kojima, and Yuri Fujinaka. Evan Call will continue to compose the music.

Regarding the three-person system of Kitagawa, Harashina, and Saito overseeing the direction of the second season, Yuichiro Fukushi, a producer from Madhouse who took the stage at the "Anime Expo 2025" held in Los Angeles, stated, "We have consulted with the staff in preparation for the second season and have established what we believe to be a better directorial system. Based on the direction built by Keiichiro Saito and the staff in the first season, we will continue to take on creative challenges with Daiki Harashina, who demonstrated his abilities in various aspects in the first season, and Tomoya Kitagawa, who led numerous notable episodes."

The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End" aired from September 2023 to March 2024 for its first season. The second season will begin with the story from Chapter 61 included in Volume 7 of the comic. The continuation of the journey toward the land where souls rest, "Oreoel," is set to be depicted starting January 2026.
