"Detectives These Days Are Crazy!" is an anime adaptation based on the manga by Masakuni Igarashi, which has sold a cumulative total of 900,000 copies across the series. The TV anime begins airing on July 1st on TOKYO MX and other channels, and will be streamed exclusively and ahead of terrestrial broadcast on ABEMA.

Keiichirō Nagumo (voiced by Junichi Suwabe), who once built a shining track record as a high school detective and gained immense fame, has now become an older man left behind by the times. One day, a high school girl named Mashiro Nakanishi (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) barges into the Nagumo Detective Agency, insisting she wants to become his assistant and aspires to be a detective herself.
