Chiikawa: New Series to Begin Airing from Tuesday, July 15! New Visual Released to Commemorate Series Resumption

The new series of the anime "Chiikawa" is set to begin broadcasting from Tuesday, July 15. In addition, a new visual commemorating the resumption of regular broadcasts has been unveiled.

"Chiikawa" is a popular manga serialized since 2020 by illustrator Nagano, which is posted on X (formerly Twitter). The series won the Grand Prix at the 2022 Japan Character Awards and again at the 2024 Japan Character Awards announced in July 2024. With its charming, tiny characters and the contrast with a sometimes harsh world, "Chiikawa" has gained wide popularity among both adults and children, and its follower count has surpassed 4.08 million.

For about three months from April, "Chiikawa" had paused its regular broadcast and instead aired revival episodes of stories that had received significant attention. Now, it has been decided that the new series will resume broadcasting from the episode on Tuesday, July 15.

Additionally, along with the newly released visual, the "Chiikawa" logo has also been renewed. Furthermore, the ending animation set to "Hitorigotsu" sung by Hachiware (voiced by Makoto Tanaka) has been updated.
