The non-credit opening and ending videos for the TV anime "The Summer Hikaru Died" have been released. The opening theme is "Saikai" by Vaundy, and the ending theme is "Anata wa Kaibutsu" by TOOBOE. Both songs were unveiled for the first time in episode 2.
This time, the color script for the opening video was created by the original author, Mokumokuren. With an awareness of "daily life versus the extraordinary," the video is finished with a strong contrast between bluish and reddish tones.
Additionally, to commemorate the release of these videos, special comments from Mokumokuren and director Ryohei Takeshita have been made available. Starting Monday, July 14, there will also be a limited-time screening of the opening and ending videos at an outdoor vision screen in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
