[Photos/Images] Could It Be He's Acting Spoiled? In "The Apothecary Diaries," Soaked Jinshi Shows Maomao a Pouting Face After Taking on the Important Role of the “Moon Spirit” 1st

In episode 29 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," the extraordinarily handsome Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Ōtsuka) dresses up in a dazzling costume and transforms into the "Moon Spirit"! The episode is packed with “Jinshi moe” moments, including his sulky face shown to Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yūki) after the event.

Jinshi, an exceptionally capable eunuch, is also renowned for his beauty, famously praised as “a woman who could topple a nation, if only he were female.” He seems perfect at first glance, but when it comes to Maomao, he sometimes reveals a childish side.

In episode 29, to grant a special envoy's wish of “meeting the Moon Spirit my grandfather saw 50 years ago,” Jinshi disguises himself as the Moon Spirit and performs a dance. His beauty is so striking that even Maomao marvels, saying, “That’s not something to show to the public. That really is the destructive power to topple a nation.”

After his splendid dance, Jinshi jumps into a river for the sake of stage direction to hide himself. Soaked to the skin, he protests to Maomao, “Hey, are you just going to leave me like this after I did everything as told?” He sulkily makes Maomao dry his hair, saying, “I’m done with this. My hair’s still wet, you know!”
