The anime The Summer Hikaru Died has claimed the top spot in both the daily domestic ranking on Netflix and the anime ranking on ABEMA.

The Summer Hikaru Died is a youth horror series based on the popular manga by Mokumokuren, which has exceeded 3.5 million copies in circulation. The story centers on high school boy Yoshiki Tsujinaka (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi) and Hikaru (voiced by Shūichirō Umeda)—a “Something” that has taken on the appearance of Hikaru Indou, Yoshiki’s best friend.

During the first episode “Substitute” on ABEMA, the scene where Matsuura’s grandmother is attacked by someone ranked No.1 in the comment ranking.
