Gekijō-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Sōkai no Namida-hen Set for Nationwide Release on Friday, February 27, 2026! First Key Visual and Teaser Trailer Unveiled

It has been decided that the second theatrical film of Gekijō-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Sōkai no Namida-hen will be released nationwide on Friday, February 27, 2026. The first key visual and teaser trailer have also been unveiled.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (commonly known as “TenSura”) is an immensely popular reincarnation-themed entertainment work originally created by Fuse (story) and Taiki Kawakami (manga). The story depicts the protagonist, Rimuru, who is reincarnated as a slime in another world, embarking on adventures with wisdom and courage alongside their companions.

The first key visual features Rimuru and Gobta setting out onto a sea where the waves swirl dramatically before them, alongside the mysterious woman Yura and the Emperor of the Sorcerous Dynasty Sarion, Elmesia. The tagline, “When the time of awakening comes, azure prayers connect our hearts,” further raises expectations for the film.
