The July Theme for the Anime “The Apothecary Diaries” is Bellflower and Maomao & Pairin! “Maomao and Jinshi’s Four Seasons” Chapter 2 Begins

“Maomao and Jinshi’s Four Seasons,” an ongoing project from the anime “The Apothecary Diaries,” has resumed, and the July visual has been released.

“The Apothecary Diaries” is based on a novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. Set against the backdrop of the imperial harem, the story follows Maomao, a young girl who becomes an apothecary and poison tester, as she uses her knowledge of poisons and medicines to solve a variety of challenging mysteries that occur within the palace. The second season of the TV anime will air for two consecutive cours starting January 2025, further increasing the excitement for the series.

On the 22nd of each month, in celebration of “Maomao Day,” a new illustration themed around a seasonal plant is released through the project “Maomao and Jinshi’s Four Seasons.” After drawing to a close on June 22, 2025, the project has been powered up and relaunched as Chapter 2.
