Commemorating the Start of "Kaiju No.8 Season 2"! Gen Narumi Character Visual & Three Yuta Bando Soundtracks Released in Advance

With the broadcast of the second season of the anime "Kaiju No.8" now underway, the character visual of Gen Narumi, Captain of the First Division, has been unveiled. In addition, three tracks from the in-anime soundtrack composed by Yuta Bando are now available via early streaming, and information regarding the release of Blu-ray & DVD for the second cour (Volumes 5 to 8) has also been revealed.

"Kaiju No.8" is based on the manga of the same name by Naoya Matsumoto, serialized on "Shonen Jump+". The anime is a collaborative production between Production I.G and Studio Khara. Following the first season in 2024, the second season started airing on July 19, 2025.

In this series, character visuals for Kafka, Mina, Reno, Kikoru, and Hoshina were released during the first season, and now Gen Narumi, making his full-fledged appearance in the second season, has been added. In episode 13, "Kaiju Weapon," which aired on July 19 and featured a fierce battle against the kaiju Dicronius emerging from Tokyo Bay, Gen Narumi made an overwhelming impression. The new visual depicts Narumi sitting atop his signature weapon, looking down with an expression that exudes confidence as “Japan’s strongest anti-kaiju force.” The background shows a devastated cityscape, capturing the intensity of the scene right after a fierce kaiju extermination battle.
