This work is based on the manga series "YAIBA," created by Gosho Aoyama—renowned for hit titles such as "Detective Conan," "Magic Kaito," and "Fourth Batter, Third Base." The original manga ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday from issue 39 of 1988 through issue 50 of 1993. It is an action-packed adventure following the wild samurai youth, Yaiba Kurogane (voiced by Minami Takayama), on his unyielding quest for greater strength, guided by his unwavering samurai spirit. The manga spanned a total of 24 volumes, with a cumulative circulation of 17 million copies. The TV anime adaptation "YAIBA Samurai Legend" has been airing nationwide in Japan since April 5, every Saturday at 5:30 PM on the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks.
