The final 18th volume of The King’s Beast, which concluded in the January issue of Cheese!, was released on Friday, July 25.
This bestselling palace fantasy follows Rangetsu, a demi-human girl with beastly traits, and Prince Tenyou, as they navigate a romance across social ranks. With over 4 million copies in total circulation, the series has captivated many. In this final volume, the two protagonists, having overcome countless hardships, finally share their first night together. In a world where demi-humans and humans coexist, what future do Rangetsu and Tenyou envision? The volume also includes two bonus chapters that were published in the magazine after the main story concluded.
■Special Edition with Illustration Collection & Fanbook Released Simultaneously
To commemorate the story's conclusion, a special edition with a B5-size, full-color illustration collection is also available, as well as an official fanbook that covers everything about the series.
The illustration collection included in the special edition features 32 pages of carefully selected color artwork by creator Rei Toma. Both the standard comic and the illustration book come encased in a specially designed box adorned with newly drawn illustrations.

Additionally, the official fanbook, released on the same day, contains character profiles, a story digest, a special interview between Rei Toma and the initial series editor, newly drawn manga, and more, making it a must-read for fans.
To celebrate the completed series, a special campaign is also underway: from July 25 to August 7, volumes 1 through 6 of The King’s Beast are available for free for a limited time on major e-bookstores. This is part of the “Epic Fantasy, Now Complete! The King’s Beast: Enbei no Arcana New Release Fair.”
