Episode 16 "The Logic of the Amanojaku"
[Synopsis]
The story takes place in July of Bunkyū 3 (1863). Jinya hears a rumor about a man-eating demon appearing at Mizuho Temple, which has become abandoned. When he visits the temple, he finds that it is inhabited by a silver fox demon. After Jinya slays the demon, who calls herself "Yūnagi," and consumes it, he hears the distant sound of a crying baby. The next morning, when he drops by Kihei’s as usual, a woman named "Yūnagi" is there waiting for Jinya to return.
