Kento Nanami Loses His Usual Composure, Furious at a Cowardly Enemy and Goes on a Rampage with a Demonic Expression in “Jujutsu Kaisen”

Kento Nanami (voiced by Kenjirō Tsuda) is always the epitome of a cool and collected “adult.” However, when his friends are hurt, he displays a level of anger far beyond his usual demeanor—a scene that provoked reactions such as “Nanamin, veins bulging and completely enraged, was so cool” and “The way enraged Nanamin was animated surpassed expectations,” captivating fans.

Nanami is a graduate of the Tokyo Jujutsu High and serves as a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer. He is known for his signature slicked-back side-parted hair and suit, always maintaining a calm and mature atmosphere. Yet, he also possesses a strong sense of justice and deep compassion.

Nanami’s anger erupts in episode 36 of the “Jujutsu Kaisen” anime. He comes across assistant supervisor Kiyotaka Ijichi (voiced by Mitsuo Iwata) lying on the ground covered in blood and, barely restraining himself, seethes, “How dare you….” Upon finding Haruta Shigemo (voiced by Wataru Hatano), the curse user who attacked Ijichi, Nanami interrogates him with a piercing look, asking, “How many allies do you have, and where are they positioned?” Shigemo initially tries to act tough, but as Nanami repeats, “How many allies do you have, and where?” and “Several assistant supervisors were killed on the way here. That was your doing, wasn’t it?” while delivering fierce attacks, Shigemo gradually falters in fear.
