![[Photos/Images] “Unbelievably Detailed!” Fans Go Wild Over the Usual High-Quality In-Show Production! Episode 16 of the Anime “My Dress-Up Darling” 1st](https://times-abema.ismcdn.jp/mwimgs/4/e/724w/img_4e9ca2f32a3f56ee01970176d8fec59c284403.jpg)
The anime “My Dress-Up Darling” is known not only for the quality of the main story, but also for its high-caliber “in-show productions” that are a major highlight. In Episode 16 of Season 2, which began airing sequentially on July 26, an in-show production with a host theme was featured at length. Fans were excited, saying things like, “The craftsmanship this time was on another level,” and “Hasn’t this in-show story gone too far beyond its category? (Keep it coming!)”
In this series, “in-show productions” frequently appear as the original source material for the heroines’ cosplays. Even though these productions are technically within the anime, their quality—such as the animation—rivals the main series, and every time, fans are thrilled, saying, “It feels like a whole different anime has started!”
In Episode 16, “He Knows Everything About My Body,” the beautiful gyaru Marin Kitagawa (voiced by Hina Suguta) decides to cosplay Rei Kogami (voiced by Hinaki Yano), a character from the in-show anime “The Student Council President is the No.1 Host” (nicknamed “NamaHos”) during her school’s culture festival. Wakana Gojō (voiced by Shōya Ishige) is portrayed as watching the “NamaHos” anime, and in the visuals, there unfolds an in-show story featuring Rei and others.
“NamaHos” is a popular work featuring many cool characters, starting with Rei, who is both the student council president and the most popular host, a secret side of his. The visuals depicted the encounter between the main characters Rei and Koyomi Mishima (voiced by Mayumi Tsukishima), along with their heartwarming interactions, in such detail that it was practically a standalone production in its own right.
